Interlude: where we are now

The blog is a WIP. Wifi is spotty, speeds are slow, time is short.

Anyway, I'm trying to catch up, but no need to feel sorry for me. As Paula says, every day is Saturday!

We are in Luang Prabang (LP), Laos, now. We travelled though Cambodia and up through Vientiane, Vieng Vang and now here. I'll post on the other spots, but suffice it to say that Celia and Lill have rallied after their injuries. They still have some bumps and bruises, and lacerations, but generally are doing well. They are troopers.

Cambodia was frenetic, Laos is not. LP is the "nicest" so far, very posh hotel and enjoying ourselves. Cole is leaving on Friday back to the US from here via Bangkok, then we will be four travelers.

We are heading north to the hill country for about a week, it will be rustic but fascinating with the tribes. We've learned much about them during our stay here.

We will be heading to Sri Lanka on/about 18-Jan. If you've been following at all that means you know we are skipping Bali - traveling is a bit exhausting (and it is the rainy season in Bali at this time...) and we've decided to focus the time in Sri Lanka and spend about three weeks there, two of which Celia will be volunteering.

We've also decided to skip Madagascar - turns out the cyclone season was going to coincide with our time there. We didn't feel like staying in the rain the whole time.

Reach out if you have any questions/comments. Thanks for reading!
